Three Week Mindfulness Meditation Course: Foundations of Practice Sundays: Sept 24, Oct 8 and 22 3-4:15 $190 ($175 if register by Sept 15 th ) What is meditation? Why Meditate? With the current popularity of mindfulness meditation, you might be asking yourself these questions. Meditation is so much more than feeling relaxed or trying not to think.This course offers clear insights into what exactly the practice is, how you can build a regular practice (or recommit to one), why you’d want to, and support along the way. Whether you’re new to meditation, have experience using meditation apps or books, or have had an on-again/off- again relationship with it, this course will give you the foundations you need for a personal meditation practice. We will use current research in psychology and neuroscience, and the tradition of mindfulness in Buddhism to investigate the questions above, and more. Features of the course:  Foundational mindfulness techniques of meditation of the breath and sound.  Meditation postures and guidance with finding the right seat for you  Build a daily meditation practice, with tips for staying committed  Assignments and readings for between session weeks  Group discussion

Experience the tranquility of Restorative Yoga in this 2 hour workshop. We will explore the tools of restorative postures, breath awareness, aromatherapy, and meditation to access the stillness within.
